Purple and green stripes

And here is a ‘small’ addition to the previous post. This side-view gives quite a different view on the marsh gentian. Straight lines, strong colors, with a sparkle in the dew droplets. This photo was using all extension tubes, a 1.4 tele convertor and the 90mm macro racked to its minimum focussing distance. Combined this produces a 1.4 x 2 = 2.8:1 enlargement on the FX sensor of the D700. Of course adding this much magnification eats away at the available light, so it is great to have that bit of extra ISO without substantial noise in the D700.
