This Caribbean island in tropical waters is well known for it’s gloriously sunny weather. Of course I have had lots of sun in several trips to this island. But I have also met lots of tropical rainfall, threatening clouds, and changing weather as well. Whatever the weather, the island with it’s high temperature, salty spray, relentless solar radiation, and the occasional downpour of water is hard on a nature photographer’s equipment. I had glue oozing from my camera, water pouring down it, lenses that did not really want to move anymore inside their tubes from metal extension. What most associate with a leisure holiday in the sun sipping a cocktail can be so much more, and fortunately I have experienced this side of Curacao as well.
